Loiteria

Every click is someone to meet.

Loiteria is an isometric pixel-art idle clicker built around the feeling of loitering in a crowded social-VR lobby — click on NPCs, watch a lobby fill up, drift from world to world. Keeps generating progress while you're away, too.

A click on an NPC — drifting from world-tile to world-tile

Nameplate color system

A separate nameplate color per progression stage, sketched in the design document — shown here without the penalty-tier color.

How it plays

Click, drift offline, come back to more.

The core loop Loiteria is designed around — described in the game design document, not yet fully built.

  1. 01

    Click

Tap an NPC in your lobby and it's a small social interaction — a wave, a chat, a moment of attention that adds up.

  2. 02

    Drift offline

Close the tab and progress keeps ticking. Log back in and Loiteria works out how long you were gone and hands you a matching bonus — purely from the time elapsed, nothing tracked on your end.

  3. 03

    Move to the next world

Climbing ranks opens new worlds, new NPCs and new events — from a quiet chill lounge to a packed convention hall.

What Loiteria is going for

Built around the feeling of a full lobby.

Loiteria is in development — this is the current design, not a finished game. Some of it is prototyped already, most of it is still on paper.

Isometric pixel-art lobbies

Rooms are drawn as isometric pixel-art scenes — tables, sofas, dance floors — with up to 80 NPCs visible in one lobby at once, closer to a Habbo Hotel–style room than a 3D club.

Every click is a small social moment

The core interaction is tapping the people around you. It's designed to read as a social gesture, not just a number going up.

Offline time still counts — no sensors involved

Progress is calculated purely from the timestamp between your last login and this one. No sleep tracking, no device sensors — just how long you were away, staged into a small set of bonus tiers.

Fifteen ranks, from Visitor to Mythic

A rank ladder currently planned at fifteen steps, standing in for how deep you are into the game's social world.

Skill trees across five branches

The long-term design calls for five skill branches — Performance, Creation, World Building, Social and Safety. The current build starts with one of them; the rest are on the roadmap.

A catalogue of 50 world archetypes

Beyond the roughly twenty worlds already laid out across the rank tiers — from a Chill Lounge early on to a Convention Hall much later — the design documents keep a catalogue of 50 world archetypes, some of them fleshing out worlds already planned, plus 30 avatar templates for future content.

A home of your own

A housing system ("The Infinite Lobby") is planned where you decorate your own room and choose who can visit — open to everyone, friends only, or fully private — with likes and guest comments.

Fair play

What Loiteria is deliberately not doing.

These are commitments written into the game's own monetization and design documents, not just marketing language.

No loot boxes, no gacha

No purchase ever has a random outcome. What you see in a purchase screen is exactly what you get.

No pay-to-win

Rank, skill points, achievements and rare NPCs are earned, never bought. Purchases are limited to cosmetics and convenience.

No fake urgency

No countdown timers on offers that quietly reappear once they run out.

No forced ads

Any optional video reward is something you choose to watch — never something the game interrupts you with.

Free at its core

All core mechanics are meant to be fully playable for free. Purchases can speed things up, but nothing is designed to be locked behind payment.

Loiteria is designed to be free to play. Purchases, once they exist, are meant to stay cosmetic and convenience only.

Questions

Before you ask.

Is Loiteria free to play?

Yes — the plan is for all core mechanics to be fully playable for free. Any purchases are meant to be optional, cosmetic or convenience-only, and never unlock content.

Are there loot boxes or random purchases?

No. Loiteria's monetization design explicitly rules out loot boxes, gacha mechanics and any purchase with a random outcome.

Which platforms will Loiteria be on?

Development is browser-first (desktop and mobile). Other platforms are being considered for later phases, but nothing beyond the browser is decided yet.

What happens while I'm offline?

Loiteria works out how long you were away since your last login and hands you a staged bonus for it — purely a timestamp calculation, no sensors or health tracking involved.

Is Loiteria connected to VRChat?

No. Loiteria is inspired by the culture of crowded public social-VR lobbies, but it's an independent game with no affiliation to VRChat or its trademarks.

When does Loiteria come out?

There's no release date yet. Loiteria is in active development — we'll announce a date once one is set.
